FAN FEATURE FRIDAY #173 - GREEN GOBLIN EDITION

Norman Osborn's experiments give him the power he's always dreamed of but ruin his mental state, as he becomes a cackling, evil presence driven by a very personal vendetta with Spider-Man. The Green Goblin means business!

Often seen atop his prized possession, the Goblin Glider, the Green Goblin soars through the streets of New York City in search of Spider-Man, terrorizing its citizens with an arsenal of Halloween-themed equipment.

Inspiration: I wanted the articulation and accessories to be the main focus; so I made sure to get Goblin into a nice squat position while also throwing a pumpkin bomb. Then I slightly articulated his bag and strapped him onto the glider. I felt the more dramatic the angle of the glider the cooler the look.

Inspiration: I have always loved the thought of Osborne never really being in control of the Green Goblin and that it was an evil entity that haunts him. I tried to convey that with this shot.

Inspiration: To me, the real root of what makes Green Goblin such a compelling villain is his internal battle of good and evil much akin to Jekyll and Hyde. I think the fact that he stands adjacent to Peter Parker as somewhat of a father figure makes it even scarier. You always hurt the ones you love.

Inspiration: I've always loved this matchup between Spiderman and Green Goblin. The ideal scenario for me would be them battling in the air with Goblin lobbing pumpkin bombs and explosions going off everywhere. This explosion is probably a bit exaggerated but they're kind of my thing and I never get tired of them.

Inspiration: My main inspiration for this photo was Willem Dafoe's legendary performance as Norman Osborn/Green Goblin in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man. Specifically, I wanted to capture the madness of Norman as he argued with and eventually relented to the psychotic whims of the Goblin persona.
