FAN FEATURE FRIDAY #175 - RECOVERY SUIT SUPERMAN

“Don’t let the outfit fool you. I’m Superman, and I’m back.”

After a devastating battle left him gravely injured, Superman defied the odds and emerged stronger than ever. His specialized "recovery suit" became his beacon of hope, accelerating his healing process.

Worn in times where Superman’s power is weakened, his Recovery Suit grants protection and absorbs solar energy to help accelerate regeneration.

Strap in as we travel throughout Metropolis to see how Kryptonians Simon, Jason, Brian, Alberto, Robert, and Anthony captured the Man of Steel.

Inspiration: As a child of the 90s, the death and resurrection of Superman was one of the biggest events in comic history. I wanted to use this opportunity to portray Kal-El’s triumphant return in the most cinematic way possible!

Inspiration: I wanted to recreate the final battle between Kal-El and Hank Henshaw in the Reign of the Supermen run in the comics. I posed Superman punching out Cyborg Superman right after he regains his powers. By having the Cyborg a bit of a distance away from Superman, I created depth in the shot as if he was being thrown by his punch.

Inspiration: I've always found this matchup fascinating and have done several photos in the past of Superman battling the Hulk. When I got a different version of Superman, naturally he needed to battle the Hulk.

Inspiration: I wanted to show that even though he’s powers are limited…give Kal-El a gun and he’s still a badass.

Inspiration: The photo shows Superman against an explosion background. It symbolizes his strength and resilience in the face of danger. Superman is often depicted as a superhero who can withstand extreme conditions, and the explosion background reinforces this image by showing him unfazed and ready to protect others even in chaotic situations.

Inspiration: Easily my favorite Superman figure to date from Mezco. The quality of the suit, all of those amazing accessories, and gorgeous head sculpts. Who doesn't love a sweet mullet on Supes?
