FAN FEATURE FRIDAY #216 - POWER RANGERS EDITION

Location: North Carolina, US
Inspiration: I was at Ishcon in Durham about a week ago, and this incredible setup was at a booth that built the entire diorama. It was too cool not to take a picture of. So I got an angle I was happy with and tried to inject my style of editing into the photo! Taken with my cellphone, which I’m not the most comfortable with, I usually use my DSLR.

Inspiration: Being a 90’s kid, I grew up watching the original MMPR series when it debuted and was instantly a day one fan! Continuing that love of the Rangers into my late 30s, these figures are absolutely perfect, and I had to recreate the famous power blaster scene!

Inspiration: The inspiration behind this pic was to try and capture that classic Power Rangers vibe of when I was a kid; those bright, vibrant colours against blue skies. I'd also seen a piece of G.I. Joe artwork that had the team positioned on a hill, allowing each member to strike a unique pose, so that was a big influence on the composition.

Inspiration: This photo was inspired by a promo photo where the Rangers were posing in the Command Center. The White Ranger was not originally featured but I added him because he was a part of the original series. It's Morphing time!

Inspiration for the image:
I was inspired to take the photo after receiving my Mezco Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 5 Figure Set. The way they look, the accessories they come with, took me right back to being a kid. One of the things this immediately brought back was the camaraderie amongst the Power Rangers! Felt that this image encompassed the nostalgia and the feeling of camaraderie!

Inspiration: I always loved the muted colors of the grainy film stock from the original series, along with the overly excited posing of the Rangers themselves, even as a giant Kaiju approached. So I set out to capture that vibe here and hopefully create something that feels like it could be a screenshot from an episode of the show.
