FAN FEATURE FRIDAY #191 - SNAKE EYES: COMMANDO EDITION
๐๐๐
Hear that? Of course you didn't. He doesn't make a sound...
Snake Eyes makes a stealthy return rocking his all-black commando gear. Armed to the teeth with everything from handguns to C-4, heโs a one-man army. A master of martial arts and mystery, Snake Eyes is the G.I. Joe teamโs ultimate silent weapon.
Sometimes, silence speaks louder than words. Keep quiet and scroll on to see how Townshend, Simon, Charlie, Anthony, Grayson and Carlos photographed this ninja-commando.
Name: Townshend (@offtheshelfpictures)
Location: Canada
Inspiration: For inspiration, I wanted to try and recreate the GI Joe Origins Issue 8 variant comic cover by Tom Feister! I loved the posing he did in his artwork with Snake Eyes rappelling upside down - I tried as best I could to do that cover justice!
Name: Simon (@sime_on_toast)
Location: Texas, US
Inspiration: When many of us think of Snake Eyes we think stealthy or Ninja. With this photo, I wanted to focus more on urban infiltration and destroying Cobra weapon caches.
Name: Charlie (@boba_chuck)
Location: New York, US
Inspiration: Snake Eyes was always agile and involved in so much action. I wanted to capture that with this image. He was such a mysterious and cool character that one can't help but take pictures of him!
Name: Anthony (@batbomb82_mezco_reviews)
Location: California, US
Inspiration: Mezco has been making my favorite G.I. Joe figures and in my opinion, they have made the perfect Commando Snake Eyes. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for this sub-line.
Name: Grayson (@the_melatonin_ronin)
Location: Texas, US
Inspiration: My inspiration came from the GI Joe movies that have Snake Eyes performing crazy feats of acrobatics mixed with combat, and I tried to capture that in my post!
Name: Carlos (@thebadassreviews)
Location: Florida, US
Inspiration: Snake-eyes has been my favorite character in the whole G, I Joe line since I was a little kid and the Commando look was my favorite of all. Mezco did an amazing job by portraying Commando Snake-Eyes in the best way possible, the overall look is fantastic and makes it very easy to pose and have fun. I used a small amount of props in the background to highlight this amazing piece of art. Yo-Joe!
