The darkness calls and Doc Nocturnal answers.

Back from the depths of Nocturnal Tower, the Dark Shadow Edition of The Monster That Hunts Monsters is stalking the night once again. Cloaked in shadow and armed with an arsenal built for destruction, From eerie alleyways to smoke-filled rooftops, every setup feels like a scene pulled straight from a horror noir.

Inspiration: I consider Doc Nocturnal to be Rumble Society's version of Batman. Given this new "Dark Shadow" edition, I wanted to put Doc into a somewhat familiar Dark-Knight-type setting. Brooding, investigative, crouched pose atop a gargoyle felt apropos.

Inspiration: For this shot, I wanted to capture Doc Noc’s element of surprise — dropping in on the Decapod Gang mid-attack, dodging their fire, and delivering some serious crustacean justice.

Inspiration: Inspired by old gangster movies and The Matrix. We have the Godfather in the back holding his pet lobster as his two goons try to take out Doc Noc!

Inspiration: This edition builds on the 2.0 figure with subtle upgrades like the new cape system and a deeper, darker aesthetic that’s already making it one of the most talked-about and sought-after Mezco releases of 2025!

Inspiration: I wanted to portray a chaotic, mid-battle moment where Doc is unleashing all-out war on the Decapods. I thought it would be fun to have him standing on Crab Louie’s decapitated head, showing the ultimate fate of what happened to the Decapod Gang’s enforcer.

Location: New Jersey, US
Inspiration: Doc Nocturnal is my favorite Mezco character. I enjoy taking pictures of him because he can exist in so many worlds, and his design is so versatile. I love all iterations of Doc Noc, but I thought this Shadow Edition was one of the coolest figures I’d ever bought, so I decided to take this shot of him in his victory pose.
