FAN FEATURE FRIDAY #193 - THE DECAPOD GANG EDITION

Crime is tough business… but The Decapod Gang is tougher.

The Carboune Brothers, Clyde, and Dingy, are clawing their way to the top, dead set on owning Providence. These crustacean criminals dress to kill in sharp suits and fedoras, armed to the teeth with magnums, tommy guns, and a switchblade that means business. Smooth talkers? Maybe. Ruthless? Absolutely.

And don’t forget little Fredo the Mantis Shrimp—small but packs a mean punch. Together, they’re making waves and leaving a trail of trouble in their wake.

Catch the Decapod Gang in action and see how Jason, Brian, & Johnny captured this underworld syndicate. Want more? If you're in New York, swing by NYCC booth #1253 to feel the heat.

Name: Jason (@jasonbmichael)
Location: Canada
Inspiration: The Decapods have a very distinct gangster vibe, and that is a film genre I love. As a result, I wanted to combine the bar from the Sopranos, mixed with the color palette of the Godfather and the feel of Peaky Blinders, into the photos I made for these particular figures. This also allowed me to use the bar my father built for me some time ago. It's a wonderful prop I want to use more often.

Name: Brian (@bcauseitsfun)
Location: Georgia, US
Inspiration: What inspired me for this photograph was the style of these characters. I pictured in my mind a couple of gangsters in a dark back alley with cold snowy conditions involved in a shootout. I also wanted to incorporate a Mezco neon sign in the background like I did in a previous photo. But just a little more subtle this time.

Name: Johnny (@2actintoys)
Location: Mexico
Inspiration: For The Decapod Gang photographs, gangster attire was a trigger for creativity, an aesthetic that evokes the golden age of crime in the 1920s and 1930s, offering endless possibilities for captivating photo shoots. The combination of elegance and rebellion creates a unique visual narrative that transports you back in time.
