FAN FEATURE FRIDAY #240 - DOC SAVAGE EDITION
Sunlight cuts through the jungle. Danger waits. Doc Savage moves forward.
Forged in pulp legend, The Man of Bronze is always prepared — secret-laden boots, rugged gear, and tools for every impossible mission. From classic pulp-era looks to later comic incarnations, Doc adapts, survives, and overcomes.
Scroll on to see how Zo, Scott, Henry, Jim, CP & Marc captured Doc Savage mid-expedition, calm in the face of danger... exactly where legends belong.

Name: Zo (@grownmentoys)
Location: Alabama, US
Inspiration: I wanted to show Doc Savage in a temple-like setting for the shot.

Name: Scott (@scott.bline)
Location: West Virginia, US
Inspiration: I really wanted to get a picture that was reminiscent of the cover for a pulp novel. I’ve been working on some new edits, which gave me a perfect opportunity to play around with shadows. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the figure just photographs so well.

Name: Henry (@henroc1_12)
Location: New Jersey, US
Inspiration: The shot was inspired by The Mummy. An action sequence of Doc Savage battling supernatural monsters.

Name: Jim (@gijoe.falmouth)
Location: United Kingdom
Inspiration: The lone hero, ripped shirt, stoic face, fists clenched, ready for whatever lies at the end of the path.

Name: CP (@c_pow3rs)
Location: South Carolina, US
Inspiration: This figure had me inspired as soon as I opened it. I referenced an old comic cover for this setup and initially tried to duplicate it but ended up going with my own pose, which is just Doc looking ready for anything. I also wanted to show him in his alternate shirt to show he’s in the middle of action and adventure. Finally, I filled the background with props and took the picture. Really happy with this figure and look forward to more pulp heroes.

Name: Marc (@figs_fotos01)
Location: Scotland
Inspiration: This one was simple, the gas mask. This is the first figure I have that has an accessory like that, and I wanted to use it instantly. Coupled with the smoke machine I got for Christmas, it gave the exact effect I was looking for.
